[Solved] HDFC Platinum DC Cashback on Paytm CC Bill Payment

Hello, Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried to search it but was not able to find exact solution/answers..

I currently have HDFC Platinum DC and the Cashback options as per website are:
a) 1 Cashback point on every Rs. 100 spent on Telecom, Utilities.
b) 1 CashBack point on every Rs. 200 spent on Groceries & Supermarket, Restaurant & Apparels, Entertainment
c) 1% Cashback on HDFC Billpay

No CB other than this.

So, Just wanted to know if PayTM or any other CC Bill payment facility comes under above points or not, As I would be paying HDFC Regalia First CC bill in 2-3 days so wanted to know if getting Cashback is possible in any scenario ?

I don't know about other sites/app but you won't get any cashback from paying cc bill payment via paytm using platinum dc.

I already went through this thread (and 2-3 more which were having similar reference) but sadly, this does not apply for paying HDFC CC (which is my case) though this would work if I had to pay any other bank's CC bill

@NOOBY hdfc bill payment won't fetch you any cb on hdfc card , only way to CB is to pay other cc bill through bill payment portal excluding hdfc cards. i know it hurt but it how hdfc have structure this and paying through paytm and all i have no idea i pay via cred or hdfc bill pay portal , and one thing to notice for any other cc payment via 4 days from due date cause i paid amazon apay bill and it took 5 days not counting working days or not so for first time bill of for new cc via hdfc bill payment portal pay 4-5 days in advance and then keep a track how much time it take for bill processing . i hope this help

Thank you @vaibhav111 for such quick reply, I understand HDFC did not add their own CC in Billpay area as they won't earn anything from Receiver party (as that too would be hdfc in the said scenario)

I have been using CRED too but I am fed up with those ₹3-4 cashback and un-necessary points which are of no use as of now (have 8L+), also no DC as payment option.. only UPI and Netbanking

When I read about the Billpay facility and the cashback along with it, that intrigued me into searching if there is a way to get Cashbacks via platinum card if I used some other 3rd party credit card payments sites like PayTM which allows payment via Debit Cards and have cashbacks with it.

Only way to get cashback for HDFC bill payment is via Millennia Debit card. You need to load Paytm wallet and then pay your bill. But the monthly cashback cap for Millennia is 400 compared to 750 for Easyshop Platinum. Also, the cashback for Platinum DC is credited within a week whereas it takes 90 days or more for Millennia DC.

No issues for tagging...kindly try this method for a small amount https://www.billdesk.com/pgidsk/pgmerc/hdfccard/HDFC_card.jsp use platinum dc and once payment settled in hdfc cc see in web portal the cash point earned; if not then this method also not helpful for platinum DC.
