I just faced this as well - had added/removed around 2 lakhs a few times, randomly a few weeks later got credit freeze notification after a ₹70 UPI transaction. Customer care says it's due to internal policies they can't reveal and it mostly won't be unfrozen, so I should just transfer the money out and forget about it (can't even close the account).
U added/removed 2 lakh as a single transaction or multiple split ones? Was it through upi or imps/neft. What was the duration between receiving and transferring the 2 lakh money out?
Today I sent a mail for account closure but they denied reason like freeze is still there. What a shit Bank
IMPS mostly single. Maybe 1 upi. All accounts in my own name as well. 2-3 days gap. (I realised too late that there was no ASBA for slice, so had to transfer back and forth few times).
Banks wont reveal the reason for the freeze in most cases (otherwise people will start gaming their algorithms) unless u drag them to RBI. But in ur case, doing large transactions back and forth might have made them suspect business transactions in savings account. Thats y the credit freeze. Anyways let them know that u had a genuine mistake of not knowing about the ASBA thing. They might consider it without dragging it till RBIO.
