Should i close my HDFC Tata Neu Infinity credit card?

I got the card FYF in October 2023 and went on spend 4+ lakhs in the first card anniversary year. Since then I've got other cards and spent only 1-1.5L in the 2nd year. I need 3L spends to waive the annual fee of Rs 3k+gst.1499+gst. I won't be able to spend that much and thinking of closing the card.

1. My primary use of the card has been in Tanishq offline stores (I've also participated in the 2nd Tata Premier League and got some benefits - didn't find the 3rd one rewarding enough)
2. I've sent at least 15 emails at different points in time requesting conversion to LTF and have been rejected every single time
3. Is there any trick where i can order some big ticket item to waive off the fees and then return the time to get a refund?

I also got it FYF and i am definitely closing it if they are not agreeing for LTF.. have 6 more months for the completion of year... Spend based criteria on lounges doesnt justify the charges...

Been there. They won't convert it to LTF card. Close it and reapply for core card

For me, the card has been revived due to Amazon Pay restrictions on insurance payments. I need to make 4 payments yearly, and this will help.

If you can Time your advance payment, axis has running offer of 2% in march every year for tax & insurance payment

Yes, after 6 months previous card details will be delinked from tatnneu account. same number applied through friend's referral link

Close it.. you can apply again when either HDFC/ Tata Neu run a LTF campaign later …

One last thing , just ask Tata Neu if they can do anything with this regard, even though odds are very less

Oh. I too saw pixel at first was paid but now it's ltf

Now they have improved it but still terribly slow if your network is weak
