Should bill be generated for a Blocked Credit Card?

TF Select
I got upgraded to Pinnacle from Legend. The LTF condition was 50k spends in 3 months. A month later i got swiggy hdfc and later i got supermoney card and i realized the card is basically useless and there is no point keeping it at all for my usage. I didn't spend 50k and promptly blocked the card.

Today i received a message for a ₹5900 bill .
Which is the joining fee the card status is still blocked. Can banks send bill for a blocked credit card ?

Yeah, since u activated the card.

Now first try to get it reversed from customer care and if due date is approaching, pay first to save ur cibil

If you have activated the credit card then you can't hide it from joining fees. Pay the ₹5900 and ask for the permanent closure of the credit card.

Not block.

You activated a cc that had 5900 fees ( incl. of GST) and came with a conditional LTF feature. Since you dint spend the 50k, you have to pay the fees. Why shouldnt a bill be generated even if u blocked the card ? Blocking the card doesnt nullify the fees component or spends component.

If you employ the same logic, i can take a card, do a swipe for 1L and then block it.

The card was blocked in june with no pending dues. This statement is of july where the fees was added. That's why the question. I will pay the fees if it comes to it. Is there a way to avoid it?

Pay the fee. Then request the Customer Care for reversal
