yes, they can decline based on inter relationship between cards as mentioned here. I'm able to apply 2nd card within 1 week with Manhattan to Ultimate but it got declined 2 times when I applied 2nd card from Ultimate to Smart (note: manhattan closed way before). They're ok with any reward card but not SVT, Smart. Eventually got hence difficult but not easy like direct cards.
Based on this theory, is there any problem if a person with SC smart applies for SC Ease my trip as a second card?

Few points based on my conversation with customer support (for existing customers):

Upgrades / 2nd card: Easy if the upgraded card has same reward structure as current card, Difficult if different (note: difficult not impossible, need approvals or from retention team support).

Ex: Can't upgrade easily from Smart (cashback) to Rewards (points). But easy from Platinum (points) to Rewards (points).

Ex: Easy to get 2nd card along with Manhattan (cashback+points) to Ultimate (points) (Note: limit rule still apply). But hard to get 2nd card from Ultimate (points) to Smart (cashback).

Mostly recent changes, earlier it was easy actually but this is just general template, fyi.
FYI My friend has smart(cashback) since early Jan 24 and applied ultimate (rewards) within 2 weeks of getting smart and got approved.

As long as you going for higher cards, no issues. Major issue with upgrades, but 2nd card based on Ultimate is the problem. Again, this is just one random experience, may not happen to everyone.

Mostly I see problems when user upgrades/apply as 2nd card to 'smart' particularly (or other cashback cards), others are more like we can get somehow.

Is it possible to get LTF SC Platinum Rewards credit card as 2nd credit card using SC Smart cradit card as existing card ?.
It's mentioned over SC website that it will be life time free if we spend 500₹ within 30 days. So can we get LTF platinum rewards as 2nd card ?

CC confirmed my platinum rewards is paid one. I had raised closure request. Retention team retained me with 500₹ credit. So 500 - ( 250 + GST) is the effective gain. Will reach out / raise cancellation request before renewal.

bro will statement generation date be same for both cards or different???
and cashback credited in 360 rewards account right??
I got my first statement after getting my second card yesterday. Both cards have a single statement like add-on cards. But shows different amounts due for both cards but a single credit limit.
Till now cred is not able to detect this, not sure if it works.

Are the cards reported separately in credit reports or as single account only?
