SBI DC works the same way irrespective of any portal. So, be it 0.25% or 0.50% or 0.75% or any %.
Whatever you were getting from unipay, will be same for others too.

Refund takes 7-8 days time.
Mine also failed on 30 apr, waiting for refund
Bro, that's why I ask people not to transact on Sunday/Bank holidays. If your Available Limit is increased then no problem. Tomorrow check again if it decreases even then wait for Tuesday morning whether it shows in statement or reverses with AL decreasing. You will have the final picture only on Wednesday.
Once I had this same thing but txn eventually settled even after it shown failure but keep an eye on this payment. If HDFC dont settle and reverses then you will get the refund. The transaction status at Unipay will change later to success. Can take a month also. Now you will have the hassle of keeping an eye on this payment.
It's okay that we use these things but always have advance payments 7 days before which I follow till now. 🙂 Because within this time you can have refund and pay again. Also take risk only when you have surplus funds. I am always 2-3X surplus of payments. Even then on auto-pay date I keep balance so atleast in case of any issues bank dont blame it on insufficient funds.

So the hdfc cc me gayi Hui payment bhi return aayegi. This is new to me.
Tuesday evening or Wednesday max. , you will have your refund. For most of us here it is always T+5th working day.

Ye acha mazak hai unipay ka. Hdfc me overpay bhi nahi karne deta hai yaar.
HDFC mein toh overpay bas HDFC Netbanking se ya billdesk se kar saktey hai. Toh bhai isme Unipay ka nahi HDFC ka dosh hai. Same way many banks dont allow overpay on BBPS. In few days everyone will not allow overpayment because banks are fed up with thios credit balance on credit card and asking RBI to pass stricter norms for customer.
The only thing I want is payment of due before bill generation like SBI and few others allows on BBPS. Same way if there is a due BBPS should allow it before bill generation and ask banks to have their reporting system just like SBI do. After txn SBI start showing 0 as bill and current due can be paid.

SBI UniPay is some temperamental, unpredictable and plain weird app.
Several months back (when I was still using it), for 3 CC bill payments the money was deducted, I received payment confirmation from the respective banks, and UniPay issued me successful payment receipts. So I was happy.
But sometime later UniPay showed Failure for all three! And I saved screenshots for those too, thus simultaneously having both 'Success' and 'Failure' receipts for the same three transactions!
Thankfully, it turned out that all 3 payments were actually successful!
I have stopped using UniPay since, because it doesn't have any additional benefits compared to alternatives, -- only potential for headaches.

If old account -> 2-7 working days.
If new account -> 45-120 working days.
