SBI Rewardz removed CC bill payment category

Earlier, I used to pay Credit Card bill payment through accumulated points but since yesterday, I cannot see Credit Card bill payment category in SBI Rewardz app. Well, at least in android I don't see it; don't know about iOS. Overall, sad thing! I'll be missing this!!!

Other bill payment categories such as electricity, gas, DTH etc are there but not that much useful.

If anyone have better trick in order to redeem SBI Rewardz point effectively, shade some lights please. Would be appreciated!

Best way is to pay for any utility payments or you can use them at Book my show
 
Sorry but I have to say it. They are jerks. After making us spend with the debit card to earn points, they devalued it with just 1 day's notice and now removed a way to utilize those points without any notice. Very much a thing that SBI would do.

Both SBI and SBI Cards suck at how they treat customers

It's a good thing I didn't leave any major amount worth reward points in Rewardz. I used it all up in June itself for paying credit card bills. Now only some ₹200 worth points left and the milestone 0.25% for July pending. From August, I have stopped using SBI DC.

Yes exactly that's what I thought, you're right! They're devaluing a lot of things. Atelast earlier we use to have option to redeem those points directly as paying exactly per accumulated points and that option is also vanished!!!

Yes, utility is the only way out. Another way, just collect points and then redeem thru Amazon GC but that path is a very long path.

Thought so but I noticed since yesterday that's why updated everyone in here.

Very earlier, Max Get More (loyalty program website) I used to redeem points. It still has tie-ups with multiple banks and all those points we can redeem thru this platform but sadly, Max Get More website is not working smoothly. Even we can able to login but when we try to checkout any voucher or anything, it just don't process. SBI have also mentioned about this Get more max website in their own portal --

App is also available, but same issue, not functioning smoothly.
 
Guys I am new to SBI Rewardz(unfreezed years old account last year when I took a loan from SBI) and I am unable to redeem my SBI Rewardz points for recharges. Is there a minimum limit of points or something? In my profile icon it shows I have 1028 points(Rs. 257) but when I go to recharge it asks me for payment via debit card. I tried entering different amount for the recharge (100/200/257) and it was a fastag recharge but it always asks for payment through DC. I tried using YONO app and the desktop netbanking -> SBI rewardz option and same issue is present via both routes.

Is this a me issue or an SBI issue? Did anybody encounter the same thing and somehow managed to fix it? Need help from the community.

For Fastag it’s not giving an option to use RP
I checked for Prepaid mobile recharge, and it’s allowing to use RP

Seems Fastag is excluded from RP burn

Others can check and confirm if they’re facing the same restriction

Yes so I called the rewardz support just now (before seeing your post) and they too told me that fastag recharges are excluded for RP burn. I guess that's that then...

Damn shame.

And yes I can see the redemption option in Mobile prepaid as well so nothing is wrong with my account(presumably).

Every month I login sbi rewardz portal and recharge my fastag using these points.. I don't have to wait for 2k amazon voucher 🤣🤣🤣
