Hi Guys, I recently received an SBI Central Govt Platinum Variant Salary Select Card (debit card), and I wanted to share the process and all the awesome benefits this card provides. (thanks to this forum for giving all timely updates.)
I had been chasing this card since 1st April 2025, and finally got it after persistent daily follow-ups with my bank branch manager. Initially, I had requested an upgrade to the Rhodium variant, but the manager couldn’t do it. So eventually, I opted for the RuPay Select card with the Platinum variant account.
👉 First things first – the card design is pretty unimpressive, but I’m here for the benefits, not the looks. 😄

Can someone help me with the additional benefits offered under the SBI Central Govt Salary Rhodium Select Card? I'm trying to decide whether it's worth upgrading from the Platinum variant to the Rhodium one.
Also, has anyone successfully upgraded their account to the Rhodium variant under the Central Govt Salary scheme yet? Would be helpful to know.
For reference, the first 4 digits card are 3537.
