My brother wants to open account in SBI
We come account insta plus savings account in which vkyc is available

I want to know can we make it zero charges account like kotak 811 by not opting for physical debit card ( using virtual debit card ) and sms alert facility

Is this possible in SBI

Help needed for new SBI account: SBI Rewards not working.

I have opened a new SBI account last month ( Lotus Savings Aadhar Chq variant) by visiting offline branch using instant aadhar kyc.

Instant aadhar kyc? Aadhar Biometric and prefilled form, right? Even though you're asked to submit physical copy of aadhar and PAN, right?

Main purpose of the account opening was to pay the credit card bills using SBI debit card.

But, SBI Rewards portal is not working for me. When I log in to yono and select SBI rewards section, this error message is coming " your request can't be processed right now, please try again later."

It's bug, same problem exists for several customers.

When I am trying to use the desktop version of SBI rewards and trying to sign up, the error message was, " no data found "

If you're using Rewardz app and web to sign-up, then still you can't access immediately after opening an account. It will take few days. You will be able to sign-up, when core banking team share your details to Rewardz depart, most likely you will be able to sign-up within a week (business).

I have used my debit card for first transaction of 2000 in e-commerce site about 10 days ago to activate the card and it's rewards system.

But no Rewards points is credited , even the rewards portal is not accessible.
Should I wait more or I have missed something?

It will time longer then expected, it can take upto 45 days, after that you are eligible to raise complaint, so just chill and wait patiently, it will get credited later at once with the backdate, no need to do anything, don't lodge compliant.

wait for few weeks/months. New account gets reward onboarding later but keep doing txns. It will keep accumulating rewards. Once your reqrd account is active you will be able to redeem pts.

Yes, they took a copy of pan and aadhar.

And my account has been opened approx one month ago, ( more than 20 business days). But rewards system has been activated yet unfortunately ( kya kare, saarkari bank hai, kaam dhire dhire se hi hoga)

I will keep doing transactions, because for new debit cards: there are bonus points for transactions over 2000( for first two months of card issuance.)

And, someone in the previous comment confirmed that, points will come for these transactions done before Rewards system gets activated
