SBI Flipkart Credit Card Launched - TechnoFino Review

SBI Card and Flipkart have jointly introduced the SBI Flipkart Credit Card. This product is structured very similarly to the already established Axis Bank Flipkart Credit Card. With this step, Flipkart appears to be expanding its credit card partnerships with multiple banks, which creates advantages for all parties involved — Flipkart, banking partners, and customers.

TechnoFino Opinion

This is a straightforward co-branded cashback credit card. While it offers reasonable benefits, it does not stand out significantly when compared with the stronger cashback cards already available in the market.

If Flipkart is the primary category for your spends, the SBI Cashback Credit Card or the SBI PhonePe Select Black Credit Card already provide 5% cashback on Flipkart, which is the main highlight of this new card. Therefore, those cards remain better options.

This SBI Flipkart Credit Card should be considered only if you are unable to obtain the alternatives and if you are a frequent Flipkart shopper.

I didn't understand when Axis clubbed Flipkart and CT spends together when setting limits. Gobsmacked to see with SBI, Flipkart is normalizing this nonsense. And the limits should have been set on a monthly basis. ICICI's Amazon card or HDFC's partnership with Tata Neu makes better sense.
I have the Flipkart Axis card. My flipkart usage usually is within the limits, and I have the HDFC Millenia back-up. Else would have closed the Flipkart card and looked for SBI Cashback or something similar.
Don't think SBI is going to find a lot of new takers for this card.
