Tried to signup for the benefits using Union Bank select credit card, it didn't work throws an error incorrect card details entered. Huge disappointment!

Did you try contacting Rupay Customer care. Even i had login issues with Rupay website, called them and they fixed it.

First let me tell you, RuPay cards are currently not good for International lounge access, On paper you will see long lounge list but most banks are disabled International lounge access for RuPay cards.

Go for visa/mastercard/amex/diners club, if you want debit/credit card only for lounge access.

RuPay discover variant is good because this card BIN is fully integrate approx all Indian websites.

RuPay JCB variant currently accept all major websites except few like Mi, Emirates, jiopos, old payzapp app and few others and within next few years, i guess all websites in India will integrate RuPay JCB BIN.

for International travel, JCB has better acceptance compare with Discover/Diners club variant.

HDFC RuPay Regalia is best for UPI transactions because you will get rewards on UPI spend + milestone benefit also count (UPI transaction on wallets, paytm, mobikwik are not count under rewards point but i guess milestone benefit count)

2nd best is PNB RuPay Select Wellness CC for UPI and 3rd best is Union bank RuPay JCB Select Wellness CC for UPI.

Note - PNB and Union bank both are currently not live on rewards point for UPI spend.

I guess after April month - ICICI, SBI CARD, Axis bank and other HDFC cards will also live on CC link with UPI.

BOB RuPay Premier is only offer Golf benefit under RuPay Select program.

I did not find any variant called "PNB RuPay Select Wellness CC" in the PNB website. I find only normal Rupay select in PNB website.

PNB normal RuPay select CC variant is "PNB RuPay Select Wellness CC", no need to worry. just apply the card.

There's PNB rakshak RUPAY Select too with zero joining fees.. whereas PNB RUPAY select have 500 joining fee??
Also the annual fees reversal(one transaction every month).. what is the minimum transaction needs to be completed every month..? It should be POS or online?

AFAIK, no minimum limit.

I think the Rakshak card will be specifically for Army/Military persons etc. and not available for everyone

Yes. TataNeu Rupay Select is not Wellness Variant, so you won't get those benefits. Its similar to the Select variant offered by Union bank mentioned in this thread
