Removing old account

My education loan having written off status even though it got settled via reliance ARC .
It happened on 2016.
How many years more my education loan details will be there in all credit bureaus?
I heard they will keep records only 7 years old , is it true?

CIBIL don't remove accounts irrespective of the age. You need to get in touch with the bank or financial institution to make it disappear from your credit report. Experian on the other hand, automatically removes any account older than 7 years.
