Few Question
1) Can we book with avios for others ?
2) How can we check availibility of partner airlines? I tried for cathay pacific, it allowed me to select flight then taken service request, and after 5 days replied that said seat is not available. Is there simple way to know availibility and taxes required to pay ?

Partner airline bookings online are sometimes not available or phantom spaces. Best to book via call. Cathay is notorious in not releasing award space to partners especially for premium cabins
