I had paid my rent through Redgirraffe on 20th Dec through DCB and it was marked as insurance spends.
Has anyone paid after HDFC changed T&C (1st Jan, 2023) through Redgirraffe and checked if it's still insurance category or rent category?

I saw atleast 2 folks saying it still comes under insurance category and you would get RP.

To be precise, I think what you really want to know is if you’d get points or not. YES! you ll still score points for RedGirraffe payments if you are paying through HDFC. (p.s. I use Infinia and not diners)

No, it will earn RP as well since it will be posted as an insurance payment.

@tsj49 Which platform did you use here, that categorised it as insurance? Did you pay through HDFC mobile app or their netbanking bill pay portal?

There's no direct payment through redgiraffe no? We have to pay via payzapp or selected bank apps

Coming as rent with the 1% charge. Started in the middle of July. Others have written about it here already.

so pay rent now directly via UPI .. no other way to pay with little charges and get reward points

Just checked my statement, and it seems now that rent payment through PayZapp is showing as "PZRENT NON BBPS MUMBAI".
Earlier, it used to be "PAYZAPP BILLDESK NON BBMUMBAI".

Seems like they "fixed" the bug, and now we can't get rewards on rent payment anymore
