RBL Credit Card blocked due to DoT negative data list

Mobile number, when surrendered or permanently disconnected, may be re-allocated by the TSP to a new customer after 90 days. But many service delivery
platforms/ systems are not updated by the earlier customer, who may either not be using the service regularly and hence do not find a reason to update his mobile
number, or due to lack of awareness of potential danger due to mobile number reuse, thus creating huge potential of an identity/profile take over on re-allocation of
a mobile number.

As per web search, if this is the case... then I feel that you're in luck and now you have a chance to update your mobile number. But TBH, have to check with bank and find alternative for the solution.

Btw, 1st time I'm hearing about it, so not sure.. following this thread for more info on this.

Can anyone offer any insights regarding the issue wherein RBL has blocked my credit card saying my mobile number is in DoT negative list?

Very sad to know.

Let me share my story.
Once, my wife's Jio sim was blocked citing some sim box fraud, .....kind of similar to negetive list. Number stopped working all of a sudden. Nobody able to restore, because I was not even in home circle.

After lot of emails till the highest level in concerned telecom company and ministry officials including, trai, telecom minister, and secretary etc in one single email with proof and criticism it got restored.

Try somthing similar. Before that visit office of your telecom company. They may able to remove ur number from negetive list after verification of your id proofs.

When things would get sorted then approach RBL to restore your cc.

Alternatively you can approach RBI first. Because your number is still active.
