Yes, we can apply for unsecured CC later. I got Wow for the same reason. IDFC just decline my CC application right away. I have closed few paylater account had with them in the past few months.

Same case with me. I hold Flipkart paylater earlier and I closed it while opening IDFC Account. Later that I applied for credit card while filling details I was asked for other card details I did one mistake here instead of giving card variant (Visa) I messed up by giving ICICI, it's straight away declined. So whenever I try to apply from then it says "we cannot proceed further". Recently my account got upgraded to select, so I asked my RM can I get a credit card she suggested as your application is already declined, I can reopen it for you but I suggest to wait for 3-6 months and get pre-approved for select variant instead of getting millenia/classic get select directly.
