Even after this post, many people have started in hinglish, so I was forced to talk in my language malayalam. Sorry about that.
yes, doesn't work that way. I said before, often people aren't aware of their surroundings, which is completely normal. We have to let them know.

We can't enforce anyone to learn, can we? Hence the solution.
I have mentioned it's better to learn. So it's individual choice.

Due to opportunities else where we are in a situation to learn, it's upto us to learn or not.

The easiest thing I do is ignore - mainly because I don't know Hindi, and I find it least interesting and time consuming to read each word and understadn what is being discussed there. So my participation in such threads are close to zero.

Exactly, nobody is forcing anyone.
It's an unwritten understanding between our own people from various states. End of the day we all are Indians and we have diversity in our languages. So there is no permanent solution, but yes we can get a mutual understanding.

When the entire thread is in English, one post drives it away to gibberish .
Nobody's fault. But one should understand on online forums where multiple people participate , it's common sense to communicate in English.
None of us are Shakespeare but atleast make some effort.

Yes, totally agree with you.
And there is no shame or harm if our English is not up to the mark.
Language is just for communication, so as long as I can express my question and understand your answers, that's enough

Like sometimes I don't understand your English

you can quote and I will explain. 👍

even I am not able to understand myself sometimes ... feeling like I am getting brain fog.
