I've never used Payzapp before but now thinking of trying it based on experiences posted on this thread. Some questions:
1. If I login into Payzapp using my mobile number registered with HDFC bank, will it automatically fetch my account and debit/credit cards or will it let me choose?
2. Does the app automatically create a UPI I'd for the HDFC account or is there a option to opt out?
3. Is the prepaid card given to all the customers by default or do we get an option not to take it?
In short, I intend to use this app only to use smartbuy and manage my cards. Should I download this app or continue using mycards and smartbuy website separately?

I'm only having credit card with HDFC, When I registered with PayZapp it automatically fetched my details - and showed "Full Kyc Account"
- But I had to manually add my credit cards for Using rupay credit cards.

Infromation from friend who has HDFC account - PayZapp does not automatically create a UPI ID for your HDFC account. You can choose to link your HDFC account with UPI if you wish, but it’s not mandatory. You have the option to opt out of UPI integration.

- PayZapp does offer a virtual prepaid card, but it’s not given to all customers by default. You can decide whether you want to use the prepaid card or not. If your primary goal is to use SmartBuy and manage your cards, you can continue using PayZapp for those specific purposes.

Has been sometime since I installed Payzapp. So I will try to answer some aspects-
1. You have to add the cards. Cards are not fetched automatically. Account details get fetched if you add the account for upi.
2. I don’t think it’s automatic. We can create our own upi id.
3. I installed payzapp after I opened hdfc account. I didnt have hdfc credit card at that time. Payzapp prepaid card was immediately visible. You meed to load it only if you want.

I would say. Its a good app. Much better than Mycards. Install it.

Payzapp isnt letting me in, on iOS app via SMS, been trying since 3 days. Anyone who faced similar issues?
You can never know with hdfc. My money was stuck with their digital rupee app for months. I got the money back after I complained to MD desk.

i think this payzapp issue happened to me long time back on oneplus 6. It worked fine after I upgraded to s22+.
Are you running latest ios?

1. No, only KYC information verified based on existing relationship with HDFC bank (If you have either credit card or bank account, then you're full KYC user).
2. No, only when you click UPI section in that app, it will ask. I never created and working so far with other functionality without any issues and never bothered me also.
3. Its there and currently free of charges, if you don't want then simply don't use it.

Btw, no UPI, no prepaid means literally nothing else for you in this app, I meant no use. Thats upto you, if you satisfied mycards (I never used btw), smartbuy website then you can continue.

Thanks for responding. I've already downloaded payzapp and it's great IMO. I'd asked about not taking prepaid card cause I felt I won't have any use of it - Well, I was wrong: I got 300 for tap transactions and now the wallet supports UPI payments (useful to pay the merchants who've disabled CC UPI)
Managing cards directly without logging again and again into mycards is refreshing. The payzapp shop has been a breeze so yeah, pretty satisfied 😁

Is payzapp good for some who doesn't have hdfc bank account but just credit cards?
I am finding it difficult to open the salary account. Since it is an offline process there are some small blockers that I am trying to resolve.

yes, you're full kyc user if you have hdfc credit card.

infact no changes between savings + salary + credit card user in payzapp.

you anyway will get your own prepaid card, upi can be any bank, smartbuy through your credit card, bill payment through any credit card..

bank account absolutely not necessary and not needed.

Payzap CC bill payments failure ratio is high recently, also they take long time to refund. It's good app only for small UPI payments.
