Paytm launches new UPI IDs

Paytm started requesting peoples to on-board new UPI IDs, after closure of Payments bank.

(@ptaxis) - Axis Bank
(@ptyes) - Yes Bank
(@ptsbi) - SBI

Do change to avoid payment failures, as stated by them.

Are they allowing us to customise UPI IDs now ?

I was using Paytm in the past and had to shift to other apps because of their upi id drama
I am yet to find a perfect upi app, paytm had ton of bloat and ads but it was one of the fastest and most reliable for me

Samsung pay doens't have upi lite and for some dumb reason they decided to not show transaction history older than 3 months
Gpay doesn't allow changing upi id and is marginally slower when compared to paytm and spay even with upi lite
Slice wallet is almost perfect but why can't i turn off the app lock

Haven't tried it on my phone but i remember using it on my mom's phone and it used to take 10+ seconds to fetch account holder/merchant name after scanning qr

Try again and it's exactly same app u are finding.

Try yes pay next
Shifted after a lot of research after Paytm was gone.

Switched to Yes pay next after testing 20 different upi apps....It is simple plain vanilla upi app......Do not charge additional for recharge and other payments

Anyone recently enquired about custom upi IDs on Paytm ? Paytm was the goat upi app before the rbi ban, phonepe wouldn't let me pay using rupay cc to merchant accepting rupay cc, it just wouldn't show the rupay option, paying via slice and paytm just works fine

You see three + signs to the right? Click that & create your custom id. After that, you can disable the id with mobile number

Paytm now assigns preconfigured upi id which you can activate, activation works on iOS device but getting error on android

but only for Yes Bank and Axis Bank. HDFC and SBI is still showing mobile number upi id.

Though it's ok, 2 mein hai toh atleast ab. SBI waise bhi activate nahi kartein 🤡🤣
