Isn’t the MCC defined by the card network and not by the issuing bank?

I don't think this is working anymore.

There is a new merchant name being displayed now and I can see that though CC is enabled but no rewards are now showing up while paying.

PS: Using Edge+ on its own app, it shows rewards upfront before making the payment. I was able to pay some bills in the morning but then it started failing. Checked now, new merchant and hence new MCC.

Did not pay. Did pay earlier when it showed rewards upfront.

Rental payments are anyways not eligible for rewards. So MCC changed recently, don't know if it is rental or something else. The Jupiter app just tells whether my transaction will earn rewards or not upfront on the Edge/Edge+ card.

1) Merchant Category Code (MCC) 7349 (epayrent.esbz@icici merchant upi id) refers to Cleaning, maintenance, and janitorial services. (Get 3% on axis SuperMoney RuPay CC UPI or use other bank RuPay CC UPI). This is not rent category for HDFC, IDFC, ICICI, Axis. BOB - dnt charge any fee. SBI Phonepe Card pdf file not mentioned this mcc code as rent.

2) Update - Another merchant upi id - innopaytechnologies.easebuzz@ypbiz working but category - Utility (Roar bank RuPay CC UPI get 1% cashback)
