Need Advice: HDFC Tata Neu Plus Credit Limit Enhancement Offer – Should I Accept or Wait?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using the HDFC Tata Neu Plus Credit Card since 2022, and all this while I’ve been stuck with a credit limit of ₹51,000.

Today, I received an offer to upgrade/increase the limit to ₹63,000, 23.5% increase. While it's a welcome change, it’s still quite low for my current needs. I'm ideally looking for a limit of ₹1 lakh or more.

Now, here’s where I need your help. I’ve seen some members on this forum mention that if you don’t accept the first enhancement offer, some banks sometimes come back with a better one later. So I’m wondering — should I accept this ₹63K offer now or wait it out in hopes of a bigger bump?

On the flip side, I also understand that there’s no guarantee of another offer, and something is better than nothing. I’d rather not get stuck with ₹51K forever just because I gambled and waited too long.

So, to everyone who has dealt with HDFC credit limit increases —

  • What’s your experience been like?
  • Did declining the first offer actually lead to better ones?
  • Or is it smarter to grab what’s being offered, especially after being stagnant for years?

Would really appreciate your informed thoughts and advice. Thanks in advance!
