My credit card benefits and points redemption experiences

I'm kicking off a thread to share all my awesome credit card benefits redemption stories!

BookMyShow ticket booking for 6 people:

Today, I booked 6 tickets for the Coolie Rajinikanth movie on Aug 14th at 6 PM!
I snagged the tickets at a multiplex close to my place – it’s a PAN cinemas Dolby Atmos screen!
I used the BookMyShow app and booked in batches of 2 to take advantage of the BOGO offer! 🎉

I picked the last row (platinum seating) and the actual price was Rs 240 per ticket (+ BMS service charge, GST etc extra = Rs 263/-).

First two tickets - ICICI Sapphiro (Discount applied Rs 250) - I paid Rs 287.20/-
Next two tickets - Indusind Tiger (Discount applied Rs 250) - I paid Rs 287.20/-
Next two tickets - PNB Rupay Select debit card (Discount applied Rs 250) - I paid Rs 277.20/- (Some charge is less for debit card I guess)

Overall, total I paid for 6 tickets was just Rs 852!
That means each ticket is around Rs 142/- 😀

How awesome is that? 🎊
Point to Note: Even though Indusind Tiger says 1 ticket free, you can use it while booking 2 (or more) tickets and still apply the offer! The price of 1 ticket will be applied.

I got LTF sbi elite and wealth account since I am a IITD alumni. My wife also has the same combo (alumni). This fetches us 8 almost free bms movie tickets per month. She also has alumni sapphiro which has BOGO but we don't use it.
Most of the tickets are used in tier 2 cities by our families.
God bless sbi and their generosity

I thought SBI offer was only for existing students. Do you have any detail where it is eligible for alumni as well which we can show to branch?

...agar inhone admin ka reward points benefit summary in a year dekh liya to heart attack hi aa jayega ..

Waise Maine last 7-8 yrs me 8lacs + around benefit in term of hotel partner points and statement credit earn Kiya h (3 lac Accor + 1 lac ITC (Thanks to Axis Magnus) + 1lac Rs for selling marriott points (Amex) + Rs 1lac plus Amex statement credit ..+ 1lac+ Infinia Points + 10 premium economy seats (Vistara and Air India)+ currently have 1 lac plus Amex points and have earned cash reward of around 70k-80k for credit card bill payments

I think since sapphiro has 2 cards, you can use them 2x for offer, no?

Good to know bro. Keep sharing such redemption experiences. So that more people will know these benefits and it will help many people.
I just started this thread with one BMS BOGO, but I will also share my future redemptions in this thread. I didnot create this thread just for sharing one BMS BOGO. This thread over the years will be a colleciton of all my redemptions.

I think since sapphiro has 2 cards, you can use them 2x for offer, no?

I have the visa version, so it is just one card. I haven't explored the Amex+MC combo.

Another one - This time not a full points redemption but used 4415 neu coins for a round trip flight booking COK-BLR and return for 2 people.
Total cost for round trip 14897 paid using TNI card, booked in neu app.
(Got 175 neu coin instantly after the booking and some more will come after statement generation)

maine.. 40k krisflyer points redeem kiye hai.. for economy delhi to bali roundtrip ke liye.. pata nahi meri yeh economy vali gareebi kab dur hogi 😛
