Kotak Bank Froze My Account Without Notice & Forcing Me to Close It – Need Advice!

Bro i also faced this a while. I visited my Home branch and they refused to unfreeze my account. And the behaviour of their was very rude. So what i did is i changed my Branch. And i requested them to unfreeze My account by doing a address verification. But address verification was not possible at my location. So they dispatch a letter to my address. I took the letter and i submitted it to branch. First they told me that you'll have to close your account. But i forced them to approve the address verification. And after few weeks my account was unfreeze. I also submitted my bank statement. Reason for freeze was multiple irregular transactions.

If your money not stuck
You can Say bye bye to kotak and open account in good bank like hdfc axis and icici for transaction or open freelancer current account which require no Gst bill

That's not correct, I am doing more than 20 in kotak 811 account and haven't faced any issue till now
 
Folks, here goes my story. On 27th June 2025 at 1:21 PM, I suddenly received SMS stating total freeze of Kotak 811 a/c without prior notice. The SMS contains a link to request Unblock. So, I have done that by allowing geo-location, aadhaar verification via OTP, selfie video and submission of latest payslip (asked for latest payslip / ITR). The portal shows Unblock request submitted and will be updated within 3-4 days.
On 28th, had a discussion with Freeze team by calling CC and they gave some vague reason that my a/c was credited and debited on same date for paying 3 CC bills and asked for CC bill statement. I firmly denied and replied that I have done debit & credit using my own other a/c and to my own CC, please show me RBI mandate that this is not allowed and for this freeze was done.
On 30th, I received another SMS that additional doc is needed through the same portal which asked for proof of trnx. I again called up freeze team and then they again started the same dance, on being questioned about RBI Mandate they pointed out to two trnx which were done from business UPI named DAS TELECOM. I told them he is my friend and he has paid for something, amounts are less 500 & 750 and further asked to show RBI mandate that I cannot accept UPI payment from any business trx.
Then under pressure CC executive told that tomorrow agent will visit for home address verification and also told that if I donot want to wait I may visit branch and request for a/c closure. But I will not close it now bcoz only rs 700 is stuck. I decided to see the end of this.
I have already mailed to PNO directly asking for explanation of a/c closure in writing and unblocking of a/c. Once I get the a/c unblocked or get any reason from PNO, I will start my own dance of raising grievance to RBIO claiming compensation of INR 1L for unethical practices being adopted by Kotak.
