I opened my account today 😭 and reading the changes with tears. They have charged only ₹399 for me. The metal dc is on transit. How about the ₹1250 voucher how to get that?

If opened offline, you should get vouchers in mail and sms.
Some people got it in 3-4 days whereas in some cases is took 3 weeks.

He said that no waiver can be provided and that all customers shall be charged 999 who hold metal DC. I even said that this is fraudulent and misleading on their side and I will close my account next year with such practices. But he didn't bother and said the usual "I understand your concern".

So, is it like

If I have 811 super with plastic card then annual fee is 399
If I have 811 super with metal card, annual fee is 999
No other charges?

999 is applicable from October 1st. So if you apply now, fee will be 399.

I got that. I currently have the metal card and only 399 was debited. I opened all month back.
My doubt is regarding next year. @kohinoor has any confirmation on that?

How to do pay the 81,100 in the branch?
1k voucher?

When you contact the branch, they'll connect you with the field agent for 811 super account opening. He'll do the whole process as well as kyc. In the application, you can choose for metal card and at the end, they'll generate a qr code for 81.1k initial funding. I was told that only upi is accepted. And in 1 transaction.
The vouchers, iirc, for 25k+ initial funding (250) & 2k+ worth transaction (1000).

Does it worth for 1200 annual fees?

You have to do your spend based comparison.
The plastic card doesn't give much benefits other than the cashback.
The metal one on the other hand, gives BMS B1G1, 1 lounge access per qtr, some dining offers and Visa signature perks.
If you are able to utilise those, then 600 extra may not be a big deal. But for the majority, the main use case is this 5% cashback. For them plastic card is a no brainer unless they want a fancy metal card. Imo this is a quite good looking metal card.
