They say it's for NTB only, but i think you can get it as this will be a separate savings account
Visit branch, ask them I want to open Kotak 811 super savings account
In my case they sent an employee to my house to open account
If same happens with you, they will give his number, call and ask the employee before hand all the details
That you already have this and that and you want this s.a with kotak metal dc, is it available in my area , and i want it to he free etc....

I applied for this, transferred 5k for super account, instabtly got rejected probably. because my adhaar is registered to my father's number. The 811 executive was sitring beside mr while all this happened. I am from Kolkata.

But this account cant be opened in branch. You can do it online/ via 811 agent visiting your home. That's it!

@Finchamp! do you get the 5% cashback on paying credit card bill? like using some portal with this debit card or is it only for offline transactions?

I have many banks accounts but I want to consolidate and this looks like a decent option with a cool debit card to go with it.

Yes, you will considered NTB this way. But confirm the waiting period with your RM. In my case, I had closed my regular Kotak A/C almost 2 years ago due to which I didn't face any problem while opening my 811 Super A/C.

Also, is the account still offline only? On the website for the metal card, it says I need to fund the 81,100rs for the free card during the offline kyc. How do you suggest I move forward with opening this account? Do it online or go to my local kotak branch?

Apply online for kotak 811 super account normal process .
You will get option for VKYC and in person visit kyc .
Choose that offline kyc option , agent will come to your house on splendor vroom vroom vroom vroom vroom vroom he will do all the necessary steps but tell I want hard and stiff metal debit card I will fund 80k
