Kotak 811 Infinity Metal Debit Card – Unboxing & First Impressions

I went to the branch yesterday at 3 p.m., funded the account with 82k via UPI, and took a total of 3 minutes to finish the process. By 7 p.m., I got an SMS telling me my account was ready to be used, and by 10pm I got an SMS telling me that the debit card had been issued and would be dispatched in the next 24 hours.

I called CS today to confirm the free issuance and annual fees. I was also told that the card had already been dispatched via SpeedPost at 10 a.m. and would get to me by the end of the week.

The speed and how easy the entire thing was are very impressive, especially for a basic zero-balance account from Kotak.

Jokes aside, kuch bhi documents verify nhi kiya unhone, nah hi Address, maine toh aapne dost k waha bula liya unko, sirf Fingerprint, Signature aur IP leke, Metal DC Order kr k chle gye. After 1 hr, KYC Complete ka msg aya aur uske badh A/c Balance Update hogya (Don't panic, update hone mein waqt lgta h)

Guys who got this super premium card are so lucky, this card is so so premium that you can't withdraw cash from ATM machine🤨, at least from the one I tried - their own Kotak ATM and assuming it might happen at other ATM too, guess why? (BTW the machine is close to new and well maintained, I was able to use other bank's card to withdraw cash).

Metal cards tend to pose reading difficulties at POS Machines sometimes, due to their stiffness. I dont think this problem comes up in ATM withdrawals. I just withdrew today morning.

Apart from PAN - Only Aadhar biometric KYC authentication, or DL / Voter ID they accept for this 811 account, opening either online or via branch ?

Metal's thickness.
It was not getting into the slot, I could've forced it with a lot of pressure, but didn't take risk of getting it stuck 😬
Simply used my other bank plastic card. Looks like Kotak didn't think about this usecase lol.

Anyway will have to try other ATMs now, hope it will work there.

Have you checked thicknes compare to plastic card ?
Or you felt thickness is TOO MUCH just by holding!

I think it's Aadhaar based KYC authentication only. But please seek affirmation from your RM.

I mean, this card gets swiped too..I have faced no problem anywhere so far, particularly at Petrol Pumps. This card is dimensionally identical to Infinia metal. So jahan jahan woh swipe hoga, wahan yeh bhi swipe hoga.
