IMHO Kotak Super 811 has relatively better offers than AU 0 Balance.

That's what I am thinking, I've been holding this AU for around 15months now and the good offers were there only in the beginning like swiggy apay and all, now at most sometimes they are offering 5% off on the apps that too on min. trnx doesn't make sense.

I guess my mom's super subscription is not ending for the next 2-3 months, I will open this account at the time when it ends.

You also understood sometime back that Indusind Exclusive account has been discontinued, which proved to be entirely wrong. Just share the clause that you've read, and let junta interpret.

Unlike you, I have a real job, a real life, and better things to do than obsess over the birthdate of a credit card. Honestly, tracking whether it’s completed a year sounds exactly like your life’s biggest milestone. I’d rather outsource that to someone who’s mastered the art of being useless—like you—probably sitting with an Excel sheet, colour-coded and timestamped, waiting for a notification to feel important.

I wanted to share my unboxing experience of the Kotak 811 Visa Infinite Metal Debit Card, especially since I couldn’t find any detailed thread about it on the TechnoFino community. If there's already one floating around, feel free to merge this post with it!

Why I Opted for This Card​

Simple – I got an amazing deal.


The Kotak 811 Super Savings A/C comes with a subscription fee of ₹300. Once subscribed, you're eligible for various debit cards with different fee structures. The basic card is lifetime free, while this premium metal card normally comes at an issuance fee of ₹4,999 + GST and an annual fee of ₹999 + GST.


However, a Kotak 811 representative reached out with a limited-time offer: if I opened a Kotak 811 Super Savings A/C with a minimum deposit of ₹82,000, I’d get the metal card completely free for life. I confirmed the offer in writing, applied immediately, and received the card in 4–5 working days. No charges applied so far!

Unboxing the Card​

The kit was delivered via Blue Dart—so no drama there.

It came in a deep red / wine coloured envelope, which, unfortunately, I couldn’t photograph—my 3-year-old got to it before I did! Inside was a sleek, matte-finish rectangular box that looked premium.

And, the card itself..​

which was a 17 gram metal debit card - easily one of the more elegant and premium-looking cards issued in India. The craftsmanship is top-notch. Here’s how it looks -

Trust me..pictures don't do justice!

One standout feature: it includes your Customer Relationship Number (CRN) on the card itself. A small but super useful addition—it saves the back-and-forth with the app while talking to customer support.

Final Thoughts​

This card has some serious utility, especially as a fuel card. It can fetch you a benefit of up to 7.5% on fuel purchase (5% cashback + 2.5% surcharge waiver), without tying you to any petrol company. Be it IOCL, BPCL, HPCL - the discount is the same. Of course, the other perks—like lounge access and concierge support—just add to the value. Overall, I’m genuinely impressed.

I feel maybe you should wait till Kotak announces it to be available to the Existing Customers and get everyone a fee waiver by setting some magical criterion. They want you to get the FOMO (dw we all get it) and rush to 'em once it's available to all. For e.g., the super acc.
