Yes I do understand this devaluation. Most ccs I own have such rules. Eg hdfc infinia does in multiples of 150, sbi CB 100. I can live with this reduced profit, I am glad this wasn’t there till date and the next best option on upi rupay is probably Tata neu giving 1.5% via their slow Tata neu app.Theoretically everything is fine...The devil lies in the finer details. For all transactions between X50 and X99, you will lose 5% rewards....On paper, reward is 5% but Your net reward ratio will reduce drastically after devaluation...It will be beneficial if you can spend around 200000 in a year.
Pull out last 10 transactions of your spend and calculate how many kiwis you received and how many you will receive after the devaluation. & find out the LOSS
My question was what else was changed?
Eg. I would call it a major devaluation if the 5% kiwis couldn’t be transferred to bank and had to be used for shitty rewards like most other ccs.
Or maybe some regularly used mccs was added to the exclusions.
