With advice from @SSV & @Anupama_Jha, I reopened my HDFC journey after closing my Tata Neu Plus CC (74K limit) since they refused to upgrade it to Infinity or a core card. Got the 2nd-year fee waived with 87K spends but finally closed it in Jan 2025.

Opened a Max Savings Account on 24th March 2025, received all details the next morning, and the welcome kit was dispatched on 28/03/2025 - Delivered by 30/03/2025.

    Welcome Kit Includes:

    âś… HDFC New Platinum DC
    âś… Passbook
    âś… 5 Leaves Cheque Book

However, they sent the New Platinum DC by default, which is pretty useless!
Now, I need to request the Millennia DC, but the upgrade section still shows Platinum DC along with Millennia & Business DC.

Is the Millennia DC free with the Max Savings account?
I plan to use this as a semi-primary account after IDFC.
Any suggestions on how to speed up the pre-approved offer?
My main goal is to secure an HDFC core card (Regalia Gold or above) as LTF with a good limit.
Millennia will not be useful for me as I hold SBI CB, ICICI Apay, and FK Axis.

Update(31-03-2025): Applied the Millennia DC Timeline

    📅 31st March – Applied
    📦 2nd April– Dispatched
    📬 3rd April – Delivered

I am sharing here the three different Journeys - three different possibilities

    1. My Mother’s Credit Card Journey

    • Started with HDFC Classic Banking (Primary Acc Holder in the Group) in 2021 with a ₹5L FD.
    • Within a month, she received a Biz MB CC with a ₹50K limit.
    • Used the card occasionally and received frequent LEs
    • After a year (2023), she received an offer for a FYF Business Regalia(3L). Though not the best option, she took it.
    • Used the Biz Regalia rarely and later requested an LTF conversion through the RM and customer care both refused.
    • Decided to downgrade the Biz Regalia to Millennia FYF via email. After spending ₹1L, she requested an LTF conversion, which was approved.
    • In 2024, she received a ₹5L LE and an upgrade offer to Regalia Gold (RG) FYF. Waited for a month, and the offer refreshed to Regalia Gold LTF, which she availed.
    • She didn't spend much on any card and did not reach the fee waiver condition
    • Final Journey: Biz Moneyback → Biz Regalia → Millennia → Regalia Gold LTF

    2. My Credit Card Journey

    • Started with HDFC Preferred Banking (No FD) in 2023. (Joined as member in Group)
    • Received a pre-approved MB+ FYF with a ₹75K limit.
    • Later applied for Swiggy FYF and maintained a decent balance but without an FD.
    • Sent multiple emails for LTF conversion, but no luck. No LEs either.
    • Closed both cards and waited a few months.
    • In 2024, applied for TNI FYF and got a ₹1.8L limit.
    • Spent around ₹3L and requested an LTF conversion, but it was denied.
    • Every time I reached the fee waiver condition
    • 3-4 months later, upgraded TNI to Millennia FYF and currently using it.

    3. My Cousin’s Credit Card Journey

    • Started with HDFC Preferred Banking in 2024 with a ₹10L FD.(Not a primary acc holder)
    • Maintained only ₹10K in the savings account, didn’t use the debit card, and had no significant transactions.
    • Exactly 3 months after the account opening, he received a pre-approved Swiggy LTF with a ₹3L limit.

    My Advice

    1. Don't apply for any basic cards until you get the one you truly want. It may take some time.
    2. Start with Millennia/DCP FYF/LTF, ensuring a minimum limit of ₹1.5L.
    3. Make it your primary card and use it as much as possible.
    4. Wait with patience; they will offer some useless cards or LEs like I mentioned in my experience , Don't avail any such offers
    5. SavingsMax may not be helpful; upgrade to Classic if you can.
    6. if you're the primary account holder in ur family group chances of getting premium cards as LTF is very high.
