Jupiter edge+ amazon pay gift voucher 1% cashback recieved

Asspl banglore kain this is what showing as merchant name . I purchased directly from Amazon . Before this I was getting amazon as merchant. What happened ?
Note - I have purchased amazon pay gift voucher 4 times before today this was my last 1000 rupees gift voucher. Now I have purchased total of 5000 rupees apay gift voucher this month. This last purchase of 1000 showed different merchant name

This issue happened only on 27th August. The next day it got corrected and back to normal.

When I was browsing Jupiter app I noticed that all transaction made for Amazon and Flipkart gift cards are now classified as utility payments. I remember those were classified as shopping when those transaction happened. So they are repairing bifurcation manually. Probably gift card purchases maybe left out of 10% category in future. Amazon GV i can understand to be classified as utility but flipkart gv as utility dosen't make any sense. I hope they don't devalue already accumulated jewels.

That's why redeem your jewels against cc statement whenever possible.

This is not sustainable, they may devalue in another 5 or 6 months

They have for sure changed the mcc back to AMAZONPAYINDIA but the transaction is getting declined while purchasing gift card. Few people are still able to purchase and get 10%. This might be the last month when we get 10% on Apay. They may patchup that in next couple of months. Hurry up guys. Those who have not applied for it, dont delay any further. After 2-3 months u would have already missed the main USP of this card(i.e. 10% CB on Apay). (Dm for referral link😏)

Something is surely under works, possibly from Amazon's end itself.

Like currently Amazon limits you from using shopping vouchers or your Apay GC balance to buy Apay GC. Likewise, they might either completely block this card from being used when you have gift cards in the cart or set a different MCC for such cases. Not a big deal to make that change.

I have got 10% CB on 28th and 29th aug successfully without facing any transaction decline, but got only 1% CB on 27th.

I tried purchasing Amazon pay voucher using the card. Transaction got declined after otp page. Few lucky people r able to get the 10%. Jupiter edge card has never behaved this weirdly before. I can smell some bad news soon.

1. It is at the bottom of the Jupiter app. Scroll down and you'd find it.

2. That depends on what other cards you have. In my case, I already have other cards that have higher returns on GVs via points. But I had the basic Edge card so upgrading felt of more worth to me. So except maybe Amazon, Flipkart and few others like Tata Cliq (which have monthly limits on other cards) I wouldn't have to buy GVs using this card. If you don't have any of those options, then it's upto your usecase. Though I wouldn't recommend stacking anything else considering it is highly less likely to get devalued for anything apart from Amazon and Flipkart.

There are quite a few. The most famous ones: ICICI Emeralde Private, HDFC Infinia. There are others like BizBlack, Diners Club Metal (nearly 10%) & ICICI Times Black too. Of course, it comes with T&C and depends on how you use the points.

I assumed people in the CC game would generally know 🙂
