Small countries with very less power and resources. Israel has US, Iran has Russia and China. The big daddies won’t be too keen to fight in Iran vs Israel.

Israel can beat India if it comes to war.. small country.. huh 🤔
 
Iran threatens to block Strait of harmuz.. The connect way for Saudi, Iraq and UAE for supply of crude oil to India.. If this happens then crude oil might shoot up till 120$ / barrel.. When war started it already went up by 12% rise..
Plus India can't use export channel through this as it will be blocked inturn India has to move all the way though Africa continent to reach EU nations..

It's all predictions by experts.. Only this can prevail if these goes for months + deliberately they block the channel.

This is India case.
Overall world case,
Transportation will be affected for nearby countries.
Imports and exports will take a hit.
Travel will be hit.
Aviation industry will take a hit.
Oil and gas will take a hit.

Overall,

Poor ppl - Don't care.. Either live or die.
Rich Ppl - Why should I care.
Politicians - Let's play some politics.
Middle Ppl - the lone suffers due to inflation ride.. Now he needs to search an opportunity to make money so that he can become rich.

I think most of the exports go through the Suez canal. Why will anyone export via Persian gulf? it will require huge amount of road travel via Iraq/Iran + turkey and then eastern Europe. Instead via Seuz, you directly dock at the European ports.


Fuel imports will definitely be affected, but Saudi Arabia/UAE/Kuwait and USA won't let it happen I guess?

Yup you are right.. That's why @BVC bro has said no religious topic and let's stick to the topic of global economy inturn affecting our economy..
This is 90% Credit card forum but other topics regarding debit cards, all types of banking systems are discussed here..
And don't forget about the insurance and stock markets which is discussed too and helped a lot of people here.
These war will affect us who are invested their amounts in stock market and mutual funds..
It will be a healthy discussion which inturn reflects our financial portfolio.

If such away from topics go then Mods are there to tc of.. No worries..

Mod actions can be taken and as a users you can report us. As we are finance community, we wanted to create a space where we can discuss that on current global escalations happening. This war will affect us more than Russia and Ukraine war.

India has Israel as their strategic and intelligence ally. Israel is with India in tough times. Whereas current regime in Iran is diplomatic ally of India. Either way we are gonna suffer.
