I do understand the contrast visible.

I was all the while unaware of what the April month slab was, and was siding with OP.

Since banks are smart enough to hide their traces, I could not get an idea of the previous interest slab at primary inspection.

SO, with respect to the OP's intent, he looked righteous. Thats why said so.

Also, the solution i suggested, would have anyhow lead to the same conclusion and would have cleared all the mal-air surrounding this disparity.

As a IDFC FIRST Bank account holder, The interest rate changed from Feb. The May update is for above 25 crore only. I got mail in Jan.

I opened wealth account with IDFC First Bank recently with IF of 12lac

As per their mobile app, my average monthly balance was 10.72lac,

They credited interest of Rs 3735, and as per their different slabs as per screenshot expected interest should be Rs 4851.67

The difference is Rs 1117, they took 2 days already, but not given any interest breakup or any calculation so far,

Looks like you just opened an old pdf from the IDFC website which is showing rates effective from 15th May 2024.

The rates were updated on 20th Feb 2025 as others said in this thread.
