IndusInd Credit Card Upgrade Scam.

Received a call today from Bangalore Landline. She was claiming to talk on behalf of IndusInd Bank. She knew that I have a Legend card and offered to upgrade it to Platinum Rupay and that too with a whooping joining fee of 10k plus GST.😂
Asked me to confirm my year of birth to accept the upgrade. I hung up the call immediately.

Was this a scam or she was trying to convince me to upgrade to a high variant card in the guise of Platinum Rupay?

You saved yourself from being scammed. As per my knowledge platinum rupay is LTF.

They will provide voucher taking whooping fees for a zero Joining and zero annual fees card.

Omg that's a ltf card n one can get pinnacle for 10k or 12.5k from indus ind. Not sure of the fee. It's one among t two
It's definitely downgrade from legend to platinum rupay I see n not upgrade

The Legend is no longer a legend, but Platinum Rupay is still a downgrade! And not a paid card and not worth paying for either!

Something is really fishy with this bank. Started getting too many suspicious calls. I think my card and personal details are compromised by someone in their staff.
Again a lady called me from a personal number and said that card protection plan of 5.99k is active on my card. Asked me whether I want to continue or cancel. As soon as I said cancel, she disconnected.
Do I have to worry? What can be her intention? Should I close the card as it already lost its significance after recent devaluations?

getting same calls since march 2025 and saying platinum rupay with joining fee of 10k. it isnt worth 10k joining fee. Even they shamelessly saying it is an upgrade. Visa Signature to Rupay Platnum is an upgrade!!researched on net and found the MITC Doc from website and WOW it is mentioned that it has 10K fee, whereas a few months back it was clearly issued unconditional LTF.
