Indians can now remotely open a Russian Bank account

so funds moving in and out need to be done by a nostro and or vostro acccount

Clients of all Russian Banks can not withdraw more than $10000, anything beyond that has to be in Rubels at a rate set arbitrarily by the Central Bank since the Rubel is no longer a freely traded currency. Can someone confirm if account opening process is easier by any chance?

I don't think US would have any way of knowing about the remote accounts in Russian systems. Anything Russia related to Visa and Passport yes why not but if it's a remote account and the data remains inside Russia, it is almost impossible and a time waste for other countries to find that out.

I don't have exact info on that but unless it's a large amount I don't think it would be. But even if it was, I don't think India Shares AIS data with any other country, that would be a breach of public trust.

Somewhere news mentioned that card will be provided once Indian lands in Russia. It also mentions that it is possible to open bank account and deposit funds in Russia remotely. It nowhere mentioned "withdrawal" or "transacting" remotely. Does it mean funds gets stuck unless the person lands in Russia and get the card.

Bank account hi khol rhe ho..koi terrorism financing thodi kar rhe ho ki itna sochna pade. Even bade Indian businesses bhi Russia ke saath dealings karte hai. 🤣
