Opened central bank account online and completed vkyc one month ago.
After vkyc, got welcome email which asked for funding. Paid using the payu gateway link the same day.
Then all sorts of calamities started.
1. ₹2000 funding was not showing up in account. Went to branch, they were clueless. Called customer care and they have the audacity to tell me "banks never send any links asking for payment". No matter how many times I told them that the welcome email containing my account number also had a link with prefixed ₹2,000 amount. He repeated the same line again and again like a parrot and started to shout upon me, saying "banks never send any links asking for payment, you should not have clicked/paid that link in the first place".
2. After waiting for more than a week, ₹2000 got credited to account, thought it'll be a relief, but hell no, I was very wrong.
3. I received welcome kit containing rupay platinum and cheque book, despite not giving consent for it. I thought of applying for RSDC from branch as debit card choice wasn't given at the time of account opening online.
4. Downloaded mobile app to activate dc, now the twist is that to activate mobile app itself dc pin is needed. I had no option but to go to atm (which is far away from my place), and set the green pin.
5. After setting up the green pin, tried to withdraw cash, got an error message "sorry unable to process". Thought I'll try later.
6. Now that dc pin is set, I activated upi and mobile app cent eez. But then another roadblock. Could not transfer funds with upi, nor using mobile app. Realised, my account is under debit freeze.
7. Went to branch and the lady said, "madam went to meeting, come after 2 days".
8. Went after few days and that madam said, you need to give kyc to activate account. Kyc documents photocopies given hoping this is the last hurdle. But man I was again so wrong.
9. After 2 days from giving kyc documents to branch, tried a test transaction with upi and it worked. Overjoyed, I thought account is fully active now and transferred some funds to account right away.
10. After few days went to hospital and they didn't accept cards, asked me to fetch cash from ATM. Went to atm only to find out that card is not working. Thankfully I had another dc with me from another bank which worked. This was sbi atm.
11. Today morning I was in urgent need of money, tried to do a fund transfer from cent eez mobile app only to find out the error "customer has view only access".
12. Super frustrated, went to branch and told the ordeal that neither card nor mobile app/netbanking is working. They checked their system and asked me to go to atm again. Went to atm but card not working.
13. Went back to branch and that lady asked me to fill out a form asking me to declare my gross annual income. She said "annual income does not get updated for accounts opened online".
