IDFC First Wealth Banking Program Upgrade Journey in 2025

IDFC First Wealth upgrade in 2025 is super smooth now! 🚀

The IDFC Wealth upgrade process is now faster and simpler than ever. Just park the funds, and once your MAB crosses ₹10L, ping your BM/RM.
I added funds on 3rd May (5 PM), requested an upgrade on 8th, and got upgraded on 10th (9th was a bank holiday). No family consent needed since I was on Select with Family Banking.

After the upgrade, no changes needed — all members got new DCs & chequebook to the primary account. If you have multiple accounts, raise DC replacement requests individually. All cards & cheque book delivered in 3–5 days.

📌 Timeline Recap:

• 💰 Balance Added: 3rd May (5 PM)
• 📨 Upgrade Requested: 8th May
• 🏦 Wealth Upgrade Done: 10th May

I opened a 10k variant online on 18 February, I parked 10+ in February itself.

Asked RM assigned on 15 May, she told me that I am pre approved eligible for Select variant not for wealth.

Went to nearest branch, they suggested to open a new account in Wealth variant with 10L ip for my wife and join the family group as secondary member. So started the process on Monday had a new account in wealth, waiting to see my account in wealth variant too.

you have to maintain the balance to keep the account variant? or you can remove the balance and keep the variant?

Ultimate downgrade will come if you don't maintain for a long time

Yes I do..I got the point you are trying to make..haha..but other variants also does that job..anyways my bills are well below 5 lakhs per month... which is the max limit for wealth
