What's the benefit in keeping the balance and use of Wealth or select if there are no ways to get reward points. Account is useless if you remove 2.5% reward points

I am more concerned with how idfc convert an acc which is normal regular acc to senior citizen. It's my mom's who was 59 yesterday but not today turned 60, so system should auto make her acc senior citizen no?

her sbi/hdfc acc already show senior citizen now but idfc is same normal, if i try to make a fd, it gives normal rates, not senior citizen.

They check for 3 months. Depends on bank and RM.

My base account is 25k MAB. Will wait for one more month and then decide.

Yeah, their debit card rewards are far better than top-tier credit cards. Not only their banks, I guess many other banks’ credit cards can’t compete with IDFC DC’s rewards.

About an year ago, I had some high CC bills to pay and it made sense to open idfc select banking.

Will wait till Jan 2026 and will close if I don't see the DC rewards coming back.
