ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards
Net Banking Customers:
  • 3% iCash on Flight Bookings
  • 6% iCash on Hotels
  • NA% iCash on Shopping Vouchers

Redemption on iShop Portal

You can redeem your credit card reward points on the iShop portal.

The value of credit and debit card reward points depends on the card you hold. For example, with the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card, 1 reward point = ₹1.

Redemption Options:

  • Flight Booking: You can pay 100% of the order value using reward points.
  • Hotel Booking: You can pay 90% of the order value using reward points, and the remaining 10% must be paid using the same credit card.
  • Shopping Vouchers: You can pay 50% of the order value using reward points, with the rest paid via card.

For Net Banking Customers:

  • Instead of reward points, Net Banking Customers receive iCash from iShop (1 iCash = ₹1).
  • For flights, hotels, and gift vouchers, you can use a maximum of 80% iCash, and the remaining 20% must be paid via net banking.

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

so its surely calender month bcuz i have got way more than 18k points
Just to confirm, these are the points earned only in the last statement, right?
I also got my statement today. It shows 53294 points (Including joining bonus points).
But I have confusion about the View CVV section. This section also shows 53294, but it has no details of my previous iSHOP points. Is this expected? Does View-CVV not show existing iSHOP points?
If this is expected, then it's 1000% calendar month. Because the calculations exactly match my Excel sheet.

View-CVV shows earned during the month only for unbilled transaction. Looks like your screenshot is from the date of statement generation and and there are no unbilled transaction. Unbilled transactions takes around 2-3 days to show up in that section. Also is this your 1st statement ?

It's my second statement, generated today only. Everything is billed already. So, it doesn't show the existing ISHOP points you are saying, right?

Joining bonus points come in 2nd statement ? or first?

Also are joining bonus counted towards monthly capping?

Yes. Earned during month section will include accelerated RP for current unbilled transactions. Closing balance is the once which is transferred to card and is ready to be utilized. Earned during the month can not be utilized until the next bill generation. Its kind of accrued points but not yet transferred to your account to be utilized.

My first EPM statement got generated today. The total rewards points in the statement show up as 6504. It should have been 7404 as per my calculations. My statement date is June 18th. The joining fees also got debited in this cycle. I'm looking for answers on below questions.

1. Looks like the accelerated points for transactions done on June 11 and June 14 are not credited in this cycle. These add up to the missing 900 points. I've read in earlier posts here that all rewards points are getting credited in the same statement since last month statement. Is that not the case for everyone ?
2. Would the remaining points get credited in next statement ?
3. When would the joining fee rewards points reflect in the statement ?

Would be great if someone can help understand. Attached the ishop transactions. Green ones are the credited reward points. Red ones are not credited.

Just got my recent sytatement. They have not shared now total rewards but instead shared only rewards earned in the statement period. Another point is that they are showing all point in points earmed and 0 in ishop rewards which is incorrect. Lastly as usual, I always have 200-300 rewards point discrepency in every statement.

Similar calculation is adding up for me. Accelerated ISHOP RPs from 12-18 Jun is the only gap. The regular 3% RP for these ISHOP is adding up to current month earned.

Yes Regular reward points are matching. No issues in the same. It looks we should not buy vouchers in the last week in order to verify ICICI calculations with ours

I checked that they are adding accelerated points after 10 days of the transaction via view CVV. Sometimes it takes 12-13 days. For this month statement generated today, I got accelerated points for all transactions except for transaction done after 10th June.

Okay. If the View-CVV section only includes the current statement, then it's confirmed calendar month 1000% for accelerated points. The rewards match my calculations based on that.

Why would joining bonus be counted towards monthly capping? It's only for accelerated rewards.
Joining bonus should be coming in 2nd statement. 1st statement includes joining fees. On payment of that only, joining points are given. Hence, they should appear in 2nd statement.
Joining bonus is not counted towards accelerated rewards
