How to get Rewards on Amex & SCB Credit Card bill payment using IDFC DC ?

Many people told they got reward on Amex and SCB Bank CC bill payment using IDFC Firstap RuPay Debit Card.

Actually billdesk use 2-3 different payment gateways/acquirer banks - HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank etc.

After payment, if IDFC showing category Credit Card bill payment. You will get rewards for Amex CC bill payment but if you get EMI or some other Category then no Reward points.

Earlier, i used HTTP Header Chrome Extension to find out all URL connected/open in my chrome browser - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/http-headers/fabjnpecogealbfoebkcjfbmdhnnfhbj

But chrome browser now removed all HTTP Header Chrome Extension from Chrome web store. 🤣🤣

However, HTTP Header extension still available for Firefox browsers but im not using firefox browser.

if you guys know anyway to find out all URL (HTTP Header) history let me know or any other way to find out which Amex CC/SCB CC billdesk website gateway page is eligible for IDFC Firstap RuPay Debit Card, please share.

If you guys have used Zavo app-billdesk gateway, you'd know that the merchant name remains the same but after the transaction, in IDFC, it shows up under different categories – 1) Credit Card Bill Payment, 2) EMI Payment, or sometimes 3) Others (there are 3 different payment gateways).

The good thing about Zavo app is that all 3 gateways are eligible for IDFC rewards. 😍😍

In the case of Amex-Billdesk, there are different categories and some gateways don’t give rewards while some do — even though the merchant name, UI, and everything else are exactly the same.

It’s a good option only when it is giving txn category same for whole day. Else we shud do try 3-4 txn on idfc dc to check the txn category and proceed accordingly

Risking for higher rewards is better than getting nothing/0.25% from sbi dc imo
