I don't think it was misused. Most of the cardholders here did not used in their respective quarter even myself I did not used this a single time. I just applied the card because my account scheme was super savings.
I have mostly used in all quarters except 1-2, but its not like people misused by using this facility multiple times in quarter. I don't understand how it was misused.

It was misused so much that they cancelled it within 18 months

India, a land of scamsters.
The card wasn’t misused—it just never proved beneficial for the bank. It costs ₹750 annually, while a single trip from Central Bengaluru to the airport typically costs around ₹1200 at night. The minimum average balance requirement is quite modest at ₹15,000. Even a single airport trip is enough to offset the annual fee. Plus, it offers access to a wide range of lounges, including the T2 Arrival Lounge—where even most super-premium Visa or Mastercards aren't accepted (unless you use Priority Pass).
