HDFC regalia gold upgrade from regalia first

Recently in mycards hdfc app , found that I am offered an upgrade from regalia first to regalia gold - LTF offer but no where joining fees related details were mentioned.

Same hdfc bank when I requested for free LFT regalia gold they said its not possible and i have to joining fees and annual fees, now they are coming forward for LTF ? what is the catch here - any thoughts ?

I am interested to click the upgrade button , but having doubts whether it will have a cibil hit ? can someone confirm whether cibil hit will be there or it will be a soft read enquiry ?

I was interested in regalia gold , just for the use of priority pass as I used to travel a lot but now I have au ixigo and idfc wealth , so having good cards for travel. Is it worth to regalia gold now ? - share your thoughts.

Take a screenshot and confirm with hdfc via email if it's First year free of Lifetime free. Mostly hdfc offers FYF for card upgrades. Better to check and send the screenshot and confirm if it's actually LTF.

If it's shown LTF in mycards App, take screenshot and click on upgrade, I also recieved the same offer there and got LTF RG. Go get it, LTF RG is a good deal imo

There will be no hard Cibil Enquiry as it's an upgrade. As others suggested, take snapshot of the page where it is showing LTF or the charges are slashed during upgrading online. Additionally I would suggest to screen record the whole online upgradation journey. If anything goes wrong in terms of charges later, you can mail to PNO with this backup.
