HDFC New card application after closing old Business card

I had a Hdfc business Moneyback credit card with 1.3L limit. And also a Tata neu plus card sharing the same limit.
I wanted a core Hdfc card (Non-Business). So the HDFC customer care suggested to close the Business moneyback card and apply for a new card after 3 months.
As they suggested I closed only Business money back card and kept the Tata Neu plus card.
It’s been 6 months but I’m not able to apply for any card in Hdfc.
Whenever I try to apply it shows that I always hold an HDFC credit card?
Please help me with this.

I guess you can close the tata neu also,
only after that can apply

You should have asked the HDFC customer care to upgrade your Business MB card to better variant but you closed it before discussing here. It is very difficult to get the HDFC core credit card if you're having co-branded card like Tata Neu or Swiggy until you close them & after 3 months you can apply fresh application process.
Also, this is random but if you want to get the core card from HDFC you can try your luck with Paytm & try to get Freedom card it is core credit card from HDFC. Later you can upgrade something better else discuss with your bank branch if they can help you get the better card.
