HDFC has revoked the 5X reward points from users who transferred funds back from their Forex accounts to their regular accounts

- Don't try to exploit loop holes
- Don't try to manipulate the system
- Don't manufacture spends

Kudos to HDFC for taking this step….. This is actually the way to stop abusive users and other banks (kya matlab Axis?) should really watch and try to learn from them….
This trick was widely promoted on X, Reddit and even our own Forum but the genuine users actually got benefitted and abusers got what they deserved….
This makes me more confident to hold on to my Infinia no matter ICICI or any other bank launches their top tier card just to devalue them few months later….

Lol! HDFC got deposits in prepaid cards much needed for 31 Mar balance sheet. Even though it knew about this for each month - Jan, Feb and Mar, it only acted now. Wicked bank!

Today got sms from hdfc as :-

Your HDFC Bank Visa Regalia USD Card ending with XXXX is not in use since 150 days.As per regulations, individuals can hold only up to USD 2,000 or equivalent post returningfrom overseas trip. You are requestedto surrender balance on the ForexPlus card in line with the regulations if you have returned to India.Refund request can be placedat the branch or through PhoneBanking. Not you? Call 18002586161.

My que is shall i request refund partial to make below 2000 usd or fully refund.
No trip planned ahead this year. Will they forfeit points ?

Refund fully...Keep card active..Do not close card...Your reward points will remain intact...

I fully refunded in May...Its been 4 months...nothing happened and i used all the RP's...Imp point is to keep card active...
