HDFC Debitcard for CC bill payment

newIntern

TF Premier
To my understanding we will 2.5% upto 400rs for MILLENIA & 1% upto 750 for PLATINUM
So today I opened a Max savings account with 1.5L FD
they gave me easyshop Platinum Visa platinum, my friend have a easyshop Platinum rupay debit card for his salary account
are these card the same with just difference being they use different network?

  1. Are these both cards also eligible for 1% cashback upto 750rs?
  2. Should I ask them for a millenia debit card? because except for a few months my usual monthly CC bills are close to 16k so earning 2.5% makes more sense. what do you guys think?
  3. can this rupay debit be upgraded to millenia free for salary account?
  4. For classic bank account they said I will have to transfer 5L at the time of account open & keep 2L in savings, although when I visited the branch first time they said 1.5L FD is enough,

Easyshop Rupay and visa DC are completely different cards from HDFC

If bills are close to 16k, then obviously you should get millenia DC instead of ESP DC.

Remember millenia dc provides cb 90 days after txn month

Yeah, I asked them for millenia but they said "welcome kit me ye hi ata hai, monday ko application dalva denge for millennia DC "

That's not true. Classic needs 1L MAB. Keep 1L for few days abd then push them for manual upgrade
Okay, I never really liked HDFC because of their high penalties & charges so I didnt give it much thought, the only 2 feature which I thought were useful were lower service charges & loan interest & a dedicated RM. but I think other banks like SBI offer loan for cheaper anyway so I didnt gave it much thought.

anyway, so in addition of 1.5L FD they will need me to have 1L for a few days for MAB then I can ask them for classic banking?
and in case they upgrade me to classic banking will I still have to keep 1L for a few days everymonth for MAB

Kaat Raha hai wo
Usko ek khich ke maarke aana
Aur usko uske bank ki site dekhne ko bolo
Thanks, monday ko jaa kar baat kkarta hu.
can you please also guide me with this

so in addition of 1.5L FD they will need me to have 1L for a few days for MAB then I can ask them for classic banking? or is FD enough?

and in case they upgrade me to classic banking will I still have to keep 1L for a few days everymonth for MAB or can I use it as my UPI account & keep 6-7K balance? my account variant will be max savings

Nope, 1L savings or 5L FD is counted.

Keep it for few days and then remove.

Has someone tried paying hdfc cc or any cc bill on kotak bill pay feature using hdfc millenia / platinum debit card ?? Does it carry utility MCC on it ??
This could prove a better alternative then trying sbi unipay for hdfc cc bill payment.
