I think nothing like that. Better drop a mail of cancelling of DC EMI to HDFC at support@hdfcbank.com or loansupport@hdfcbank.com and let them revert in written.
Pre-closure of the DC EMI will currently attract a charge of 3% of the balance principal outstanding + GST @ 18% .

I have recently purchased via hdfc debit card with NCEMI and received following message

HDFC Bank Credit Card XX**** Statement: Total due amt: Rs.4,855.82 Min due amt: Rs.4,621.00 Due by:05-06-2025. View statement here:https://hdfcbk.io/HDFCBK/K/HDFCBK/Up452jYALdq
It seems like debit card emi named as credit card but to my surprise when tried to pay this bill as credit card MobiKwik is allowing me to pay.
Now should I pay this via bbps or let hdfc automatically debit from account.
This is my first time using debit card emi

Yes, it will create as a cc account..
You should be able to pay just like a CC , even though I haven't tried it before.
You should see this in "my cards" app also..

One thing you can do is: try paying ₹10 thru MK and check..it should work...

I was in a mood to apply fullpay code and didn't think this way.
I want to be clear on one thing isn't DCEMI considered as loan. If it's considered as PL then doesn't hdfc usually debit money automatically from our account .
I can pay the amount via bbps but I want to be sure that hdfc doesn't deduct the money again as I won't be keeping any funds in that account

Yes ,it shows under credit card section as debit card emi loan new in NetBanking application

Check if there is any SI against this..
If no SI then it won't deduct any money..moreover if the outstanding balance is 0 then it won't deduct.

To clarify every single doubt like these, just call CC, they will explain you everything..it is always better to listen from them...

Autopay is active to that loan account;
I will disable it and pay and to be in safeside I will just link a sweep out fd and keep extra balance
