Friends,

I'm thrilled to share that after having acquired the LTF Diners Club Black, LTF TATA Neu Infinity, and LTF Millenia cards, I recently added another gem to my collection – the INFINIA Metal card from HDFC Bank, as FYF.

Now, acquiring this beauty wasn't a walk in the park, especially since I already owned HDFC's Diners Club Black as LTF. It involved a lot of persistence and negotiations with the bank's BM, CH & RH. But, we got there in the end!

Practically it would remain the 3rd active card, as I opted to get it by upgrading the LTF Millenia card.

While the card serves more as a collector's item than a necessity for me at the moment, I'm eager to explore the possibility of converting it to LTF status. It might not be a simple task, but given my track record of securing top cards from other banks as LTF, I'm definitely up for the challenge!

Beyond its practical utility, owning this card adds another layer of excitement to my collection. It's about the thrill of the chase and the satisfaction of having some of the best cards in the market.

Here's to more thrilling credit card adventures ahead! 🥂✨

Oh bro, your collection is stunning! . Just needs the crown jewel – The MB+ – the crown jewel that completes the ensemble! Without it, it’s like having a sundae without the cherry on top. 😉🍒
MB+ is the sundae and other cards are just toppings.

Suppose if you got Infinia as LTF, what will be the use of DCB card?
I feel TATA Neu card and Infinia combination is better....

pls correct me if i am wrong...
If they are giving me Infinia LTF then I would upgrade DCB, if it is offered FYF, then I would like to keep one LTF core card.

Also, I was thinking maybe I can apply again for Tata Neu card once again, after they have upgraded it to Infinia.

Yeh bhi koi portfolio hai without an infamously famous Moneyback+ credit card 😒

Hey, hey ! What are you guys talking about ?!

I happen to hold the real Crown Jewel (no impostor like the MB+, thank you very much), --- The one and only, the plain vanilla Moneyback! :)

Congratulations, I am also trying to achieve the same feat as you @Vineet Kumar . I have already spent more than 8L on my DCB LTF, so I want to upgrade my Tata Neu card to Infinia and keep DCB too.

So did you spend more than 8L on Millenia? Was the limit split between Infinia and DCB? What was your strategy?
If you are spending 8L on DCB, you won't get upgrade offer on another card. You need to do the 8L spend on another HDFC card to be eligible to get it upgraded to Infinia.

It’s a huge loss for upgrading LTF card to paid card
Specially that upgrade not valid for LTF Millennia
You should kept that because it’s a top Cashback card…
And please update title as 3rd card because millennia will be closed..
You should have upgraded DCB instead of millennia

PS:- It’s my thinking, don’t disrespect to OP and other DCB & Infinia Lovers 😊

I didn't know it was possible to hold both DCB and Infinia at the same time
Or that HDFC allows more then 2 cards at a time

How do you plan on converting it to LTF

I already have FD worth 10lakh. How to negotiate to get this on that FD?

It is allowed. I have Infinia and LTF DCB since long in my name itself. No family account. You need to negotiate with them in a certain way.
Pls tell how to do that? I have regalia and tata neu and I want the millennia credit card because I am not eligible for DBC due to limit in regalia.

I will try to respond to the queries one by one.

I have banking relationship with HDFC since 2007 and hold a preferred saving account.

I started my journey with HDFC CCs in 2012 with the then much coveted HDFC Jet Privilege World Credit Card, which offered one base fare waived ticket every year on Jet Air.

The email IDs and mobile numbers on bank and card accounts were different, without there being any intention for this.

Fast forward to Feb. 2022, the Jet Airways Card was due for renewal after few months and I received a call that the new card will be an Intermiles Card. I wanted a better card and asked the RM to visit.

He came with the BM and discussed the DCB Alumini Offer. What better I could have asked for. Meeting the criteria, I applied for the same and got approval within 3 days.

A month later, I received an email on the email ID registered with the Bank account stating a pre-approved LTF credit card was being offered. I just processed the same and got the Millennia LTF.

Jan, 2023 got an invite for an LTF Tata Neu Infinity through the Tata Neu App. Applied for the same and got approval.

It was at this point that all three cards got connected to the Customer ID and started reflecting in the login with a merged limit.

I spent 9 Lacs on DCB in FY 2022-23 and around 3 lacs on the Tata Neu Infinity, with around Rs. 50 K only on Millennia for activation benefit. There was an overpayment of Rs. 498.19 made in October, 2022 on the Millenia which continues to reflect as credit balance till date.

In FY 2023-24 I spent 2-3 Lacs on DCB and around 1.5 Lacs on Infinity with NIL spends on Millennia.

November, 2023 I connected with the BM for the Infinia Card.

He started the conversation stating that the Bank is very choosy nowadays issuing Infinia cards, and it is not a simple task to get an approval for a paid one even, what to say about the LTF.

He asked for an email request from me for Infinia Card on which he would prepare a case, which I sent. In the interim the Cluster Head also visited alongwith the Head of Government Business Acquisitions vertical of the Bank, for prospective business opportunities. During those conversations I reiterated my willingness to have an Infinia.

There were several queries and rejections from the higher-ups but the BM was persistent on the task and I also followed up with him every week.

February, 2024 the BM called me to inform that there was an approval for upgrade of the LTF DCB to FYF Infinia. I did not buzz, stating it did not make sense for having a paid card with almost same benefits by dumping a free card.

He came for discussion and after deliberations he said he will try to take an internal approval to process the upgrade request for the other core card i.e. Millennia.

After a week, an upgrade form for Infinia from Millennia was got signed from me, and all approval emails were attached with the request, without mentioning about the DCB.

It was informed that the BBH had given special recommendations and if there would be any rejection by the Product Team, the necessary clarifications would be provided.

The docket was sent to Chennai through courier, and on the 9th day, the Metal Infinia reflected on the Online Banking Portal, and the Millennia appeared as Transferred Out.

Received the Card along with the addon cards and Priority Passes, today in the morning.

Exciting times ahead!
