General Banking Discussions Thread

Afaik withdrawal in withdrawal slip is not permitted for customers who have cheque book facility. It's not a problem of private bank, PSBs also don't allow it.
ye rule kab se aa gaya bhai ki withdrawal slip se apne hi account se pese ni nikal skte hain ? Vese to bahut time ho gaya nikale, ATM se hi kaam chal jata iss liye.

This has been the case for at least 30 years now, since the time Dr. MMS was FM. Withdrawal slip based withdrawal is normally not permitted for Cheque accounts. Earlier PSU banks used to insist upon a written application to the Branch Manager for special permission. Now even that is not accepted.
