Fuel Credit card Gimmicks

How and what has been your fuel purchase strategy? what tricks you use to get the best rewards?
My startegy so far:

I wanted an SBI card for instant discounts + a card which could I use for fuel purchase and has low annual spends to get fee waiver. SBI BPCL was the one which fullfilled all the criteria. Even though I have moved on to other cards for fuel purchase, I still hold this for 2 reasons - instant discounts and fuel purchase for scooters (because this is one of the cards that gives rewards for as low as ₹100 rupees rather than other cards which needs minimum ₹400 spends. You can fill a scooter for ₹400 as most of the scooters tank capacity is not 4L today). I had, say, 95% chance of getting correct rewards. One or pumps I didn't get rewards, so I avoided them.

Then I got ICICI HPCL Super Saver LTF through corporate colloboration and been using this since then. With this one, I had only around 50% chances for getting cashback points. Every month I started sending them e-mails with transaction receipt, then they gave me cashback the next month. To avoid this hassle, I bought IDFC fastag, load Apay wallet with gift cards bought at 5% and then used HP pay app on HPCL pumps to get 5% on fuel without any MCC issues. But a small problem with this HP Pay app + fastag method is the OTP to use fastag balance will come late and the app will take some time to verify the OTP. During this time, I need to wait and all the other vehicles stare at me for not moving outside the line.

So, finally for the last 1 month I am loading my HP Pay wallet with HPCL Super Saver card and paying at HPCL Pumps. In this method, no OTP needed as it is done between HP QR Code and HP Pay wallet.

Looking to use SBI BPCL for 1 or 2 years more and try to convert it for LTF.

If any IOCL credit card comes in LTF offer, I will try to get it for occasional use at Indian Oil pumps because IOCL voucher acceptance is worse than MCC issue in my place.

Thanks @CyberPsych for the inputs.
In my area there is only one indian oil pump and one HP pump. There are no BPCL pumps nearby at all. Or on the way where I go to work.
So I am focused on these two. I checked at Indian oil pump today, the guy told they accept park+ voucher. Now I need to buy a voucher and test.
The hp one is newly opened and I think they should accept hp pay. These days I see big flex boards outside the pump with advt of hp pay app. So hpcl is pushing it well.
I feel HP pay more flexible because there are many recharge options compared to Park+.

Will try different methods in the coming weeks though.

I also think reliance Jio BP will come out with some kind of conbranded credit card. They only have point system now. Whenever I fill from jio, for 1 liter fuel, we will get 1 coin = 1 rs, if I give mobile number. They also call it happy coins by the way.
And minimum redemption is 250.

Does IDFC Fastag uses amazon pay balance? As far as I seen, it is Amazon icici fastag which uses amazon pay balance. Please confirm.

HPCL FIRST Power+ Credit Card will this also give RP for loading through HP pay wallet?

Hello there.
I was searching for some indirect ways to buy fuel which gives better rewards. Not using fuel cards.
I am late to this party, but better late than never.
From many threads I got to know that HP Pay and Park+ apps have many indirect ways to load to their wallets or buy vouchers and use it for fuel payments.
That too the returns depends on which cards we use. + there are surcharges and extra fees for using cards.

HP Pay itself has many different ways of adding money - though credit cards, then there is another way where you top up your fastag wallet using a credit card and then pay using fastag. (possible for ICICI and IDFC First)
Then you can redeem zillion coins, and some other ways in HP Pay. You can also directly buy HPPay voucher via credit cards and add to their wallet.
There is something called Happy Coins (I think like some cashback you get each time after paying), and even those happy coins can also be used to pay for fuel.

Park+ is another app where we can buy indian oil vouchers. It has a gamification system. It is more like a game.
Each time you complete some task, you get few ml fual (that is kind of their currency)
And when their wallet reaches 5L fuel you can redeem it and use for fuel purchase.
There are many games, contests kind of things in Park+, it is more like a paytm for indian oil petrol.

I am just a beginner in this, and there are many hidden tips and tricks that people use to get good returns on fuel purchase.
Swiping cards has many difficulties and problems like people say in many threads. From staff not knowing how to redeeem, points not getting correctly, surcharge not waived off correctly etc. In short there are things that we need to track closely.

Park + keep in asking me to recharge fastag. I have done 2 times recharge in past. Redeemed their petrol voucher, again it is asking to recharge fastag with 400 to buy petrol voucher. How many more times will ut ask?
