Forex Charges on AU Vetta Card

I had done transaction of 3999 INR on magzter.com by enabling international transactions. But I was charged in INR during transaction itself. AU has charged me 2.99% Forex cross currency markup fee and GST. Is it legitimate to charge me as I have not done any transaction in foreign currency? I mailed to CC and they simply shared me MITC and informed that I was charged as per MITC.

Is there any point for me to escalate this issue further as AU declined my request to reverse the charges.?

Same issue here. Did inr transaction with AU zenith and got charged 2.36%.

To me also, they replied attaching the mitc.

If i cancel the transaction, will be forex charges also get reversed?
