As of now nothing solid and didn't take risk of taking Amex Variant due to acceptance issues.

Since your EPM was card upgrade. I hope you got EPM with increased CL as they mostly give more limit in EPM than their other card.

This I also agree. Have been hearing that add-on would be of same network.
But still no harm in trying. Maybe technologies have changed now to handle such situation.

Got call from the executive. They were looking for my application of EPM. Clarified them that it was an upgrade from Apay to EPM. No application was filled.
Now he is sending the request of network change to back-end team. Have made him mention in the request that the add-on card would remain on Mastercard network. Lets see what would be the reply of back-end team. It could take a couple of days.

After internal discussions, the RM has come back with proposal to cancel current EPM Mastercard and issue a fresh card on American Express network.
You were right, its too much of risk on loosing out the card completely. Also they have said 'NO' to issue American Express as main card and Master card as add-on to wife. The main and add-on card would remain same network.

Not proceeding with it.
